Patterns using Tilli Tomas yarn
 |
Kristen Omdahl is releaseing a new book featuring patterns with a theme relating to items that can be wrapped, whether around the neck, shoulders, or waist. All of the garments incorporate interesting elements, from reversible stitch patterns and unique knitted edgings to interesting closures. Each project is knitted, but much of the aesthetic draws inspiration from the geometry, motifs, and techniques of crochet.
Some of the techniques are quite unusual and readers will benefit from watching the enclosed DVD to see some of them demonstrated before casting on for a project. |

The pattern makes an adult hat using Tilli Tomas Mystery yarn. The Pattern is now available for free download on her website.
Marie at Stitch DC has designed a pattern called the “Surprise Hat She writes:
This hat is made with one skein of Tilli Tomas Mystery Ball. We have a bunch in stock and so fun and pretty! I call it a surprise hat for two reasons: 1. because the yarn changes every 10-15 yards and so each skein is a bit of a suprise mixing silks, boucle, beads and ribbons and 2) because at this time of year, we are often surprised and need an extra gift for someone who surprised you with a thoughtful gift.

Have you ever seen anything so stunning! Voile de la Mer is used in this pattern.
Kristin writes about the River Tunic
The border at the hem reflects the lacy chevron sleeves, creating balance and drawing the eye downward for a flattering, lengthening effect. Extra ease is worked into the hips with chains that also create an unusual seaming technique. The result is a comfortable, versatile, and elegant tunic. |
