Planet Earth Fiber was selected as one of the products featured in the lastest Book by Marinda Stewart called ‘Punchneedle: The Complete Guide’.

Punchneedle is a type of embrodery where the fabric is stretched over a hoop and then a special needle is used to punch the fiber through the fabric, creating loops.  The finished results can resemble miniature hooked rugs but the pieces created are generally quite small. The book covers the tools and matterials requred.  Each technique is illustrated with a small sample and instructions so that you can include it in your own project.

Knit! has designed the “Red in Rome” sweater . The pattern, available from knit!  calls for a combination of Beaded Plie and Plie yarns.   As described by Knit!:

It is a super‐simple first project pattern! The bottom portion is made with using a silk yarn “double” so it knits fast. The top portion is made with the beaded version of the yarn. No increases or decreases, just straight knitting and then sew the pieces together.  You can do it!
